Ingrid Berghmans (born August 24, 1961 in Koersel ) is a former Belgian judoka . She was one of the best fighters in the world in the 1980s. With six world championship titles, she is, together with Ryoko Tamura, the most successful female athlete in the history of judo. At the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul , where judo was a demonstration sport for women, she won the gold medal.

Between 1980 and 1989 Berghmans was elected Sportswoman of the Year eight times in her home country .
