European Women's Judo Championships 1983
The 1983 Women's Judo European Championships took place in Genoa from March 5th to 6th, 1983 .
The team from the host country provided two champions, Italy was more successful than 1981 and 1982, but not as successful as at the last European Championships in Italy in 1980 in Udine . The British Karen Briggs was the only European champion from 1982 who could successfully defend her title.
