Pascale Doger

Pascale Doger (born October 27, 1961 ) is a former French judoka . She won two bronze medals at world championships and was European champion in 1985.

Athletic career

Pascale Doger fought in the half-light weight, the weight class up to 52 kilograms. She won a total of five French championship titles (1979, 1981-1983 and 1985).

In 1980, New York City hosted the first World Judo Championships for women. The French women have won in the competitions a medal, Pascale Doger won a bronze medal in the second leichtesten class in each of the eight weight classes. In March 1982 Doger finished third at the European Championships in Oslo. At the end of 1982 the World Championships took place in Paris. Doger lost in the semifinals to the Japanese Kaori Yamaguchi , the fight for a bronze medal she won against the Italian Patricia Montaguti . In 1983 Doger defeated Edith Hrovat from Austria in the semifinals of the European Championships in Genoa , in the final she was defeated by the British Loretta Doyle . At the 1984 World Championships in Vienna, Doger was eliminated in her first fight against Inge Heuvelmans from the Netherlands . The 1985 European Championships took place in Landskrona in March 1985 . In the semifinals, Pascale Doger defeated the British Karen Briggs and in the final the Swede Tipi Kantojärvi . In the same year, the French women also won the European team championships.
