European Women's Judo Championships 1979
The 1979 European Women's Judo Championships took place in Kerkrade on April 5th and 6th .
The team from the host country won two silver medals after a bronze medal last year. Gerda Winklbauer and Barbara Claßen won their second title in a row, Christiane Kieburg their fourth title and Edith Hrovat won the fifth European Championships for the fifth time.
