European Judo Championships 1991

The 1991 European Judo Championships took place in Prague from May 16-19 . It was the only European Judo Championships that ever took place in Czechoslovakia. The team from the host country won a medal. The team from the Soviet Union, which had been one of the leading teams at least among men since the 1960s, was at the start for the last time. The team from reunified Germany was at the start for the first time.

Cécile Nowak won the super lightweight for the third time in a row, Philippe Pradayrol also won the super lightweight for the second time.
