Frauke Eickhoff (born October 24, 1967 in Celle ) is a German judoka . She was world champion and vice European champion.

Life

Frauke Eickhoff began at the age of five in the TuS Hermannsburg , in the Lüneburg Heath with judo. Her parents' house is also in Hermannsburg . She has been a member of PSV Braunschweig since 1986 . She is the 6th Dan , the red and white belt, and fought in the weight class up to 61 kg.

After training to become a teacher in biology and sport at the Sports University in Cologne and the Technical University of Hanover, she is now a student councilor. She also has the Trainer A license in judo. For several years she was a trainer for trainers and trainer C in Lower Saxony as well as in the Braunschweig teacher training. Furthermore, Eickhoff worked for several semesters as an academic assistant teacher at the TU Braunschweig for judo training for primary and secondary school teachers. From 1996 to 2000 she was an honorary national coach for the U17 national team. Since 2000 Eickhoff has been working at the Wilhelm Bracke Comprehensive School in Braunschweig with a focus on judo.

  • Her greatest successes include third place at the 1988 European Championships in Pamplona and the
  • Victory at the 1991 World Cup in Barcelona; as the third woman for Germany at all, after Barbara Claßen from Grenzach Wyhlen (1982 in Paris) and Alexandra Schreiber (1987 in Essen).
  • At the European Championships in 1991 and 1992 she reached second place and the
  • 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona in fifth place.
  • In 1995 she became German champion in her weight class.
