The National Community of Schaffhausen (NGS) was a political party in Switzerland that is part of the front movement .

history

On July 10, 1940, Karl Meyer founded the Schaffhausen National Community with around 100 members. There were regular lectures that were organized by the NGS and at which Karl Meyer, Werner Meyer, Hermann Eisenhut and Eduard Rüegsegger appeared. In many cases, however, the events were banned by the Schaffhausen police department and therefore took place in secret.

At the end of 1940 the number of members was 166.

In June 1941, the Federal Council imposed a speech ban for Karl Meyer. In 1943 the Schaffhausen Police Department imposed a general ban on the NGS from gathering, and several court judgments were made against members. On July 6, 1943, the Federal Council banned the NGS and its various local groups.

Political orientation

The association was anti- liberal, anti-Semitic and anti-Bolshevik .
