Heinrich Zapf

Heinrich Zapf (born October 23, 1871 in Neuessing , † January 15, 1949 in Freising ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician in Bavaria .

Life

After graduating from high school, Zapf began studying law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1891 he became active in the Corps Palatia Munich . When he was inactive, he switched to the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg . After the two state exams (1892, 1897) he joined the Bavarian Customs Administration. In 1898/99 he was a finance assessor at the main customs offices in Passau and Munich. From 1899 to 1904 he worked in the General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Taxes in Munich. After his appointment to the government council , he worked in the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance until 1911, most recently as a senior government councilor. From 1911 to 1914 he worked as chief customs director in Cologne and Berlin . He was then appointed to the Reich Treasury as a lecturer council and secret government councilor.

After the November Revolution, Zapf was Ministerial Director from 1919 and State Secretary in the Reich Ministry of Finance from 1921 to 1924 . From 1924 to 1934 he was Senate President at the Reichsfinanzhof in Munich.
