Écouché is a commune Déléguée in the French community Écouché-les-Vallées with 1,325 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Orne in the region of Normandy .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former municipalities of Batilly , La Courbe , Écouché , Loucé , Saint-Ouen-sur-Maire and Serans were merged and have since formed a nouvelle commune called Écouché-les-Vallées. The municipality of Écouché belonged to the Arrondissement of Argentan and the canton of Écouché .

The place on the left bank of the Orne is about 9 km from Argentan , 11 km from Rânes , 18 km from Carrouges and Motrée , 19 km from Briouze , 22 km from Falaise and 24 km from La Ferté-Macé .
