European Women's Judo Championships 1980
The 1980 European Judo Championships for women took place from March 15 to 16, 1980 in Udine .
The team from the host country provided three champions, making Italy the most successful team for the first time. Gerda Winklbauer won her third title in a row, Jocelyne Triadou and Barbara Claßen each their second title in this weight class, both of which had previously won titles in other weight classes. Edith Hrovat only received bronze this time after she had won five titles in two weight classes at the first five European championships.
