Alison King

Alison Rosamund King (born March 3, 1973 in Leicester , Leicestershire , England ) is a British actress and model. She is best known for her role as Carla Connor in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street .

Life

King was born in Leicester in 1973 to Alex and June King. Even in early childhood, she showed an interest in becoming an actress. She attended acting classes in college and continued her education at the North Cheshire Theater School . While in drama school she got her first television role as Helen in two episodes of Brookside .

Before getting her diploma, she got the lead role of Lynda Block in Dream Team . In 1993, 1994 and 1997 she also appeared briefly in Emmerdale , where her character was also called Carla . She had her breakthrough in 2006 with the role of Carla Connor in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street .

In addition to acting, she was also involved in modeling and was a brand ambassador for various brands such as Boddingtons Beer and Daz Detergent .

She has been with Hollyoaks assistant director Paul Slavin since 2016 . The actress has a daughter named Daisy Mae with her ex-fiancé Adam Huckett .
