Alkalurops (from Arabic from ancient Greek καλαύροψ kalaurops , "shepherd's staff", as old star globes show) is the proper name of the star μ Bootis (My Bootis) in the Bear Guardian constellation . The star, which is mostly still visible in the city, is a triple star system . Its distance is about 120 light years .
