Alke Dietel

Alke Dietel (born February 17, 1975 in Halle (Saale) ) is a former German basketball player .

Life

Alke Dietel attended the Halle sports high school and graduated from school there in 1993. In the 1993/94 season, the 1.94 meter tall indoor player competed with Wemex Berlin in the women's basketball league  . She then played again in Halle while she was doing an apprenticeship as an interior decorator. In 1997 Dietel moved to Washington State University in the United States . She studied there and was part of the basketball team until 2000.

From 2000 to 2002 she was the CB Navarra in Spanish  Pamplona under contract, in the game of 2002/03 she was also the first Spanish league, namely the Andalucia Aifos in Linares worked. Dietel then moved to Belgium , where she was in the squad of the first division club Dexia Namur, before she accepted an offer from the  Spanish second division Joventut Mariana based in Sóller on the island of Mallorca in February 2004 . There she also played in the 2004/05 season.

During the 2005/06 season she was in the service of the French club Charleville-Mézières, in the 2006 summer break she returned to Belgium, where she played for IMC Waregem from then on. In 2008 she left Belgium for Switzerland and was there in the service of the first division club Sdent Sierre Basket. In January 2009, she fell out with an Achilles tendon injury and was replaced.

National team

Between 1998 and 2003 Dietel played 23 full international matches for Germany.
