Alcinous (son of Nausithoos)

Alkinoos ( Greek  Ἀλκίνοος ) is in Greek mythology, the king of the Phaeacians , the son of Nausithous and brother of Rhexenor . He is married to his daughter Arete and is the father of Nausicaa and five sons.

Coming from Calypso , towards the end of his wanderings after a storm , Odysseus lands naked on the coast of Scherias , the land of the Phaiacs. Due to the support of Athena , he is welcomed in a friendly manner and finally brought to Ithaca by the Phaiacs .
