Alkmaion (son of Sillos)
Alkmaion ( ancient Greek Ἀλκμαίων [Alkmaíon] / Alkmaí̯ɔːn / ) is a person of Greek mythology .
In Pausanias , Alkmaion is the son of Sillos , grandson of Thrasymedes and great-grandson of Nestor . He is expelled from his homeland, Messenia , by the Heraclides . The Athenian noble family of Alkmaionids , whose ancestors are said to have immigrated from Messenia to Attica , was derived from him.
According to later lexicographers, Alkmaion is said to have been a contemporary of Theseus .
