The Allée couverte des Mureaux (also known as Allée couverte des Gros Murs ) is tucked away near the Seine in a garden on Rue des Murets No. 19 in Les Mureaux , northwest of Paris in the Yvelines department in France .

The gallery grave , discovered and excavated by the property owner in 1888, has a largely preserved tumulus . It was built in the Neolithic (3000 BC) and continued until around 2400 or 2200 BC. Used. The access is approximately 1.0 m high and 2.0 m wide and the chamber is approximately 7.0 m long and 2.0 m wide.

The anthropological laboratory of the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in Paris commissioned the excavation, during which various objects were found: flint , jewelry, vases, tools made of bones and the remains of around 60 bodies.

The complex has been classified as a Monument historique since 1928 .
