All Sports Team Hanover
The All Sports Team Hanover is a dragon boat team from the Hanoverian Kanuclub v. 1921 eV
history
The team was founded by Denis Starke in 2000 during the dragon boat regatta at Whitsun in Hanover . The name of the team is based on the diversity of the athletes who initially formed the core of the team, because the original crew was selected from athletes from the club to promote top-class sport . This association supports Hanover's top athletes in a wide variety of sports. To promote the sense of community, the association regularly provided a fun team at the Whitsun regatta in Hanover. After repeated victories in this class, some athletes decided to take this sport seriously and join the HKC. In the beginning handball players, judoka, rugby players, water polo players, dancers, dart players, swimmers and also paddlers sat in the boat of the All Sports Team. The ambition, the sporting talent of the lateral entrants and the knowledge and dedication of the canoe athletes were the basis for the success of the All Sports Team. The training water is the Maschsee .
The All Sports Team was significantly involved in the technical development of dragon boat sports in Germany, as it performs the hybrid exit , a special excavation movement of the paddle.
Representative of the State of Lower Saxony
The most prominent paddler of the All Sports Team, who was even made an honorary member on the occasion of the 10th anniversary celebration in December 2010, was the former Interior Minister of Lower Saxony, Uwe Schünemann . He participated several times in the Unity Cup created in 2007 for the Day of German Unity . The All Sports Team represents the state of Lower Saxony and has already won the cup three times.
successes
All successes were achieved in the senior (ICF / DKV) and premier (IDBF / DDV) class, except for 2 titles in 2013 in Duisburg
