Allard Tamminga

Allard Tamminga (* in Nijmegen ) is a Dutch philosopher and professor at the University of Greifswald .

Life

Tamminga received her PhD from the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the University of Amsterdam in 2001 . In 2016 he received his habilitation at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education at the Ruhr University Bochum . From 2001 to 2003 he worked at the Free University of Amsterdam and from 2003 to 2020 at the University of Groningen . From 2012 to 2014 he also worked at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg and from 2014 to 2019 at the University of Utrecht . From 2011 to 2013 he was also a visiting professor and visiting professor at the University of Bayreuth . Tamminga has been Professor of Philosophy with a focus on theoretical philosophy at the University of Greifswald since 2020.

Research priorities

Allard Tamminga's main research interests include logic , the philosophy of action and the philosophy of the 20th century.
