General building inspectorate test certificate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The general building inspectorate test certificate (abP) is, in addition to the general building inspectorate approval (abZ) and the approval in individual cases (ZiE), a proof of usability of non-regulated building products and types in accordance with the state building regulations of the states and is identified on a building product by the conformity mark.

A general building inspectorate test certificate can be issued for those building products and types, the use of which does not serve to meet the significant requirements for the safety of structural systems, or which are assessed according to generally recognized test procedures.

What kind of proof of usability is required is made known by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) with the specification of the relevant technical rules in agreement with the highest building supervisory authority in the building rules list . A general building inspectorate test certificate is issued by a building inspectorate recognized test center for non-regulated building products or types of construction if their usability is proven.

The proof of usability in the form of a general building inspectorate test certificate is only valid if the construction complies with the construction and installation guidelines and the structural requirements described therein. Furthermore, the period of validity is limited: From a building law perspective, the validity up to the time of construction is decisive; From a civil law perspective, the validity must be given at least for the duration of the execution and assembly of the construction work until acceptance.
