The Alliance Vanille (named after the spice vanilla that is widespread on the various islands ) is an aviation alliance founded in 2015 by the countries bordering the Indian Ocean . Founding members are Air Austral , Air Madagascar , Air Mauritius , Air Seychelles and Int'Air Îles .

history

Originally the Association of the Adjacent States of the Indian Ocean wanted to found a new regional airline, but Air Mauritius resisted. In October 2015 a new aviation alliance called Alliance Vanille was founded. The aim of the alliance is to promote tourism and improve flight connections between the individual islands. Furthermore, the individual frequent flyer programs are to be combined and sales and training are to be coordinated.
