The Allianz Direct Insurance Company with headquarters in Munich is a subsidiary of Allianz SE , a German car - direct and legal expenses insurers and insurance intermediaries .
history
On July 8, 1999, Vereinte Versicherung founded Vereinte Spezial Versicherung AG . In addition, on September 16, 2005, Allianz in Germany launched its direct car insurance business under the Allianz24 brand . Following internal resistance from Allianz representatives , this brand was replaced on September 17, 2009 by the new direct brand Allsecur ( spelling AllSecur ). Behind the Allianz course was the concern of annoying the more than 10,000 representatives in Germany. They protested vehemently against the expansion of Internet sales and prevailed. Large parts of the portfolio, in particular the employee business with cooperating companies up to April 2010, were transferred retrospectively to January 1, 2010 by way of portfolio transfer to Allianz Versicherungs-AG . As a result, gross premium income (sales) dropped from 135.5 million euros in 2009 to just 52.2 million euros in 2010. On November 9, 2010, Vereinte Spezial Versicherung AG was finally renamed Allsecur Deutschland AG . On October 1, 2019, the name was changed to Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG with the introduction of the new direct insurance brand.
Insurance products
Allianz Direct has only operated direct internet business since 2010. For privately used cars , liability and comprehensive insurance , cover letters , passenger accident insurance and legal protection have been offered since the end of 2005 . Supplementary dental health insurance from Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG has been brokered since the beginning of 2012 and a term life insurance from Deutsche Lebensversicherungs-AG since mid-2012 . Since October 2015, AllSecur has also been offering private liability insurance and household contents insurance in direct sales.
Employee structure
Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG does not have any employees of its own. The business is handled by employees of Allianz Deutschland AG .
Income and risk situation
The losses generated so far by today's Allianz Direct have fallen sharply in the last year. In 2011 there were 15.9 million, 2012 24.2 million and 2013 31.98 million euros in losses, in 2014 it was only 6.6 million euros. The losses are compensated by Allianz Deutschland AG through a profit transfer agreement , which also includes the assumption of losses . At the same time, the number of insured vehicles is growing steadily. Allsecur Deutschland AG passed the regulatory requirements with very good success in 2013. The solvency ratio in 2013 was 215 percent. Furthermore, the stress test prescribed by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority was passed with a large safety buffer.
