The Allianz deutscher Designer eV ( Alliance of German Designers, AGD ) is a German association and professional association of independent designers from all fields in business management, professional law and business tax issues.

In 1976 the working group of employee-like graphic designers AGD was founded in Bremen and has around 2,600 members in 15 regional groups. The seat of the association was Braunschweig until December 31, 2016 and is now Berlin . The Designlexikon International calls it: " By far the largest designer association in Germany and one of the largest in Europe ".

The AGD is a founding member of the German Design Day and through it represents the (sub) branch it represents in the German Cultural Council . The AGD takes an active part in developing the legal framework for design practice.

Collective remuneration agreement for design services (VTV Design)

The AGD u. a. The collective wage agreement negotiated with the SDSt, Independent Design Studios eV (VTV Design) has been a standard work in the creative industry and a reference work for the appropriate remuneration of design services for contractors and clients since 1977.

Publications

In addition to the various issues of the collective wage agreement for design services, the AGD also acts as an editor or publisher for other publications. The magazine AGENDA DESIGN (ISSN: 2196-072) has been published irregularly since 2012, each with a specific topic. Each issue of the association's print magazine, which appears every six months, is dedicated to an overarching topic. From 1994 to 1999 he took over the publication of the exhibition series 100 Best Posters and since the founding of the association 100 Best Posters e. V. Partner as a cooperating professional association.
