Alma Monkauskaitė

Alma Monkauskaitė (born April 21, 1961 in Dagiai , Mažeikiai district ; † April 2, 2018 ) was a Lithuanian doctor and politician .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Seda near Mažeikiai in 1979 , Alma Monkauskaitė graduated from Vilniaus universitetas in 1987 with a degree in medicine and became a hygienist-epidemiologist. In 1992 she continued her education at the Medical Academy in Magdeburg and in 1997 in Berlin . 2004 graduated Monkauskaitė the Master's Program on Public Health at the Medical University in Kaunas . From 1987 she worked in Kelmė . From 1998 Monkauskaitė was chief physician and from 2000 she was director of the health center of the Kelmė district community .

From 1990 Alma Monkauskaitė was a member of Lietuvos democinė darbo partija and then from 2001 of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija . She was a member of the Kelmė District Council . From 2012 to 2016 she was a member of the Seimas .

Monkauskaitė was single. She died on April 2, 2018 after a serious illness.
