Almaly ( Kazakh and Russian Алмалы ) is the one metro station of the Almaty Metro . It was opened on December 1, 2011 as part of the first construction phase of the metro.

location

The station is located in the central district of Almaly and extends underground in a north-south direction under the Nazarbayev Prospect. In the vicinity of the station are the Abai Opera House , the Kazakh Academy of Arts and the Kazakh National Conservatory .

description

The platform is 104 m long and 19.8 m wide. The station is located at a depth of 30 m and has a central platform at the southern end of which is the only exit. From there, stairs lead to a corridor and from there escalators to a mezzanine. From there two exits lead to Panfilow Street. The walls are covered with marble ; the wall paneling represents national ornaments. The arches on the platform sides are decorated with brown marble. On the wall at the northern end of the station there is a work of art made of glass plates. It shows the idea of ​​an ancient city and a blooming garden, the central part of which is an apple tree with fruits.
