Rajymbek batyr ( Kazakh Райымбек батыр ; Russian Райымбек батыра ) is a metro station on the Almaty Metro . It was opened on December 1, 2011 and is the terminus of Line A in the north of the city. The station is named after Rajymbek Batyr , a Kazakh warrior in the 18th century.
location
The station is located in the Shetissu district on the border with the Almaly district and extends underground in a north-south direction under the Nursultan Nazarbayev Prospect. It is the northern terminus of Line A and around 1100 m from the Schibek Scholy station. Almaty-2 train station is a good 800 m away from the station . The Central Mosque and the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Young People are also in the vicinity .

The platform is 104 m long and 10 m wide. It has a central platform , from the southern end of which escalators lead to a mezzanine floor under the intersection of Nazarbayev Prospect / Rajymbek Batyr Prospect. From there exits to the surface lead to each of the four corners of the intersection. At the northern end of the station there are two exits on either side of Nazarbayev Prospect. The design of the station shows national patterns.
