Almofala is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo . The community had 180 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013 the parishes Almofala, Penha de Águia , Quintã de Pêro Martins and Freixeda do Torrão were merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Freixeda do Torrão, Quintã de Pêro Martins e Penha de Águia . Almofala is the seat of this newly formed community.
