Freixeda do Torrão is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo . The community had 262 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013 the parishes of Freixeda do Torrão, Almofala , Penha de Águia and Quintã de Pêro Martins were merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Freixeda do Torrão, Quintã de Pêro Martins e Penha de Águia . Freixeda do Torrão is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
