The Communauté de communes du Val d'Arly ( Com'Arly for short ) is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Savoie department , whose administrative seat was in the municipality of Flumet . The community association consisted of six communities from the canton Ugine on an area of ​​121.2 km ² . The Communauté de communes du Val d'Arly is named after the mountain river Arly , which forms a high valley in the area of ​​the member communities.

tasks

The competencies of the community association include tasks that are of such a nature that they require a joint solution or for which the communities are interested in expressing a common position to the outside world:

• rubbish collection (the Syndicat Intercommunal de Traitement des Ordures Ménagères des Vallées du Mont-Blanc , comprising 20 municipalities, is responsible for disposal )
• Cultural affairs
• Tourist development, e.g. B. Creation and maintenance of hiking trails
• Coordination and creation of childcare places for children under 6 years

Together with three other Communauté de communes in the Isère Valley, the Communauté de communes du Val d'Arly forms the Syndicat Arlysère , which, for example, coordinated spatial planning and local public transport as well as applied for and managed funding for regional projects.

Historical development

The Communauté de communes du Val d'Arly was founded on March 1st, 2010.

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

• Communauté de communes de la Région d'Albertville ,
• Communauté de communes du Beaufortain and
• Communauté de communes de la Haute Combe de Savoie

and so formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération Arlysère .
