The Communauté de communes du Beaufortain , also known as Confluences , is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Savoie department , whose administrative seat was in Beaufort . The community association consisted of four communities on an area of 266.7 km 2 . It encompassed the entire Doron Valley, a high alpine valley in the interior of the eponymous Beaufortain massif in the northern French Alps.
tasks
The competencies required included developing and promoting economic activities and tourism. As a member of the Syndicat Arlysère , which also included the neighboring associations, the community association determined spatial planning on the basis of a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . He also ran the road maintenance service, the emergency services, the sewage disposal and the garbage collection and disposal and was responsible for the maintenance of slaughterhouses and wholesale markets. Sports and cultural events were also supported.
Historical development
The cooperation between the four communities in the Doron Valley began in 1960 with a snow removal association. In 1971 a general purpose association was created, which gradually took on further tasks. Today's Communauté de communes was founded at the end of 2002.
With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged
- Communauté de communes de la Région d'Albertville ,
- Communauté de communes de la Haute Combe de Savoie and
- Communauté de communes du Val d'Arly
and so formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération Arlysère .
