Almudena María Rodríguez Rodríguez (born November 9, 1993 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ) is a Spanish handball player who belongs to the squad of the Romanian first division club CS Gloria 2018 Bistrița-Năsăud .

Career

Almudena Rodríguez played for the Spanish first division club Rocasa Gran Canaria ACE , with whom she won the Copa de la Reina in 2015 and 2017 and the EHF Challenge Cup in 2016 . In the 2016/17 season, the left-hander was voted Most Valuable Player in the Spanish league. In the summer of 2017, the backcourt player moved to the Romanian first division club CS Gloria 2018 Bistrița-Năsăud . In the 2019/20 season, Rodríguez was under contract with the German Bundesliga club Thüringer HC . Then she returned to CS Gloria 2018 Bistrița-Năsăud.

Almudena Rodríguez is a member of the Spanish national team . So far, she has scored 118 goals in 60 international matches . At the 2019 World Cup , she won the silver medal with the Spanish selection.
