Alois Rohrmoser

Alois Rohrmoser (born July 11, 1932 in Grossarl , Austria ; † February 4, 2005 in Wagrain ) was an Austrian entrepreneur and founder of the Atomic ski factory .

Life

Alois Rohrmoser grew up on a mountain farm and completed an apprenticeship as a Wagner up to the master's degree . At the age of 23, he bought a small wagon and started making wooden skis with four employees . He gradually expanded this company in Wagrain into industrial ski production.

He was the holder of the Golden Medal of Honor of the State of Salzburg , holder of the Golden Ring of Honor and Vice Mayor of the market town of Wagrain. In 1982 he was appointed to the Council of Commerce. The ski pioneer and discoverer of many sports greats died in his hometown at the age of 72 of a heart attack and was buried in the cemetery at the parish church of St. Rupert in Wagrain.
