Alois Streicher

Alois Streicher (* 1892 in Munich ; † 1978 there ) was a German painter and draftsman.

Life

Alois Streicher studied in Munich with Angelo Jank at the Academy of Fine Arts . Streicher preferred to paint mountain landscapes and scenes from life in and around his hometown Munich. He was a member of the Munich Artists' Cooperative for over 25 years and exhibited regularly at the Haus der Kunst . Streicher's preferred technique was oil painting. The oeuvre , created between 1928 and 1974, includes around 700 oil paintings as well as various watercolors and charcoal drawings.
