Alonis

Alonis ( ancient Greek : Ἀλωνίς) was an ancient city on the Costa Blanca , founded in the 5th century BC. Was founded as a Greek colony from Massalia . In Roman times it belonged to the province of Hispania citerior or Hispania Tarraconensis . Today's Villajoyosa in the province of Alicante is assumed to be a contemporary location .
