The Alopecurus Peak is a 325 m high and striking mountain on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It looms between Carlita Bay and Foxtail Peak on the north shore of Cumberland West Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013 like Foxtail Peak after the Antarctic Foxtail ( Alopecurus antarcticus , synonym Alopecurus magellanicus , English Antarctic Foxtail ), a species of grass.
