Alphonso de Spina
Alphonso de Spina (* unknown; † 1491 ) was a Spanish Catholic bishop of Thermopylae and author.
Alphonso de Spina was of Jewish origin and converted to Christianity. He was the rain of the Franciscans in Salamanca .
In 1460 he wrote his Fortalitium Fidei ("Feasts of Faith"), in which he raised the well-known accusations of ritual murder against the Jews of Spain , which led to a long series of inquisition trials against them, especially against the "New Christians" / " Marranos ", led.
