The German Alpine Club Section AlpinClub e. V. is a Hanover- based section of the German Alpine Club (DAV). It was founded on November 20, 1997 as the second Hanoverian Alpine Club section after the Hanover section , from which the AlpinClub Hanover emerged. The founding members were primarily sport climbers who, due to their interest in climbing, formed an independent section. In the summer of 1998 the federal association of the DAV recognized the AlpinClub as a member.

In contrast to the many other German Alpine Club sections, the AlpinClub does not have its own hut.
