The Alsdorf miners cross commemorates the 271 miners who perished on October 21, 1930 at the Anna mine in the severe Alsdorf mine accident in the Eduardschacht.

description

The cross made of simple gray metal was erected southwest of Eicherscheid on a ledge above the Belgenbach. The current cross was erected in 1988 from stainless steel. The original cross was rusted and is now in the mining museum in Alsdorf .

With the associated Eifelblick rest area, it is on the hedge landscape hiking trail that leads from the Belgenbacher Mühle on the steep slope of the Belgenbach valley in a south-easterly direction to Eicherscheid.
