Altarpiece in Goussainville

The altarpiece in the Catholic Church of St-Pierre-St-Paul in Goussainville , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was created in 1608. The altarpiece has been on the list of monuments in France as Monument historique since 1908 .

The polychrome triptych of limestone was created by an unknown master. The work shows five scenes of the Passion of Christ: on the left the flagellation and carrying the cross , in the middle the crucifixion , on the right the journey into hell and the resurrection .
