history

On June 3, 1973, during the Paris Air Show, a Soviet Tupolev Tu-144 plane crashed over the city, destroying 15 buildings - including a school that was fortunately closed that day. The six crew members on board and eight people on the ground were killed.

After the opening of the Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airport , the old city was abandoned more and more and a new center was added further north.
