Memorial plaque for André Baudé

In Saint-Martin-du-Tertre lived (21, Rue de la Forêt) of Resistance fighters André Baude. He was arrested and tortured by the Gestapo on August 4, 1944 . On August 15, 1944, Baudé was executed by shooting together with 13 other resistance fighters in Domont . The street where Baudé lived back then bears his name today.

Belloy - Saint-Martin train station

Saint-Martin-du-Tertre, together with Belloy-en-France, has the Belloy - Saint-Martin station , where trains on the H line stop. Thus the place is connected to the rail network of the suburban trains of Paris .

Claude Chappe (1763–1805) and Ignace Chappe carried out attempts at optical telegraphy in the community in 1793 .
