Roissy-en-France is a French commune with 2883 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Val-d'Oise department of the Île-de-France region ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Sarcelles and the canton of Villiers-le-Bel . The inhabitants are called Roisséens .
geography
The municipality is located about 20 kilometers northeast of Paris , on the border with the neighboring departments of Seine-et-Marne and Seine-Saint-Denis . Neighboring communities are:
- Louvres in the north,
- Épiais-lès-Louvres in the northeast,
- Mauregard in the east (Seine-et-Marne),
- Tremblay-en-France in the southeast (Seine-Saint-Denis)
- Gonesse in the southwest,
- Le Thillay and Vaudherland to the west, as well
- Goussainville in the northwest.
With the Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport (officially Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle), the administrative wing of which is located in the municipality, the headquarters of Air France-KLM and its subsidiary Servair as well as an Equinix data center are also located here .
