Groslay is a French commune with 8,778 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region . The inhabitants call themselves Groslaysien or Groslaysiennes .

The community of Groslay is located 15 kilometers north of Paris .
Neighboring municipalities of Groslay are Montmorency in the west, Saint-Brice-sous-Forêt in the north, Sarcelles in the east, Montmagny in the south and Deuil-la-Barre in the southwest.
Groslay is connected to Paris by the H railway line.
history
Groslay is first documented in 862, when a vineyard in the village was transferred to Saint-Denis Abbey . The first landlord was Odon or Éudes de Groslay at the end of the 11th century. From the 13th century the village belonged to the Montmorency family .
