Altar retable in Westerbuchberg

The altarpiece in the Catholic branch church of St. Peter and Paul in Westerbuchberg , a district of the Übersee municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein , was painted on the bare wall around 1525/30.

The late Gothic altarpiece with the representation of the Fourteen Holy Helpers is located on the east wall of the side aisle, which was added in 1524. Presumably that could congregation executing a Schnitzaltars with panel paintings not afford relief and shrine figures.
