Old rectory Herchen
The old parsonage Herchen of the Lutheran congregation in Herchen was built in 1848, while the Evangelical Church of Herchen was not built until 1878. The reason was the common use of the Church of St. Peter by both faiths ( Simultaneum ).
In 1911 the rectory was rebuilt and expanded. From 1945 to 1945 the rectory was a restricted military area for the Belgian occupation forces . Today it is the seat of Caritas Windeck - Eitorf .
Monument protection
The church is registered under the number A 28 in the list of architectural monuments in Windeck .
