The old town hall of Reiterswiesen , a district of the spa town of Bad Kissingen in the Bavarian Lower Franconia , is one of the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under the number D-6-72-114-227 .

history

The former town hall of Reiterswiesen was built in 1703 in the center of the village. Since there is no evidence in the form of documents, the time of origin can only be deduced from the year carved in the corner stand.

The building was designed as a two-story saddle roof construction with a solid ground floor and half-timbered upper floor with figures of men and carved corner posts. On the farm gate system of the neighboring property Kissingerstraße 42 which is Old Town Hall combines with this, whereby both properties form an assembly.

Today the former Reiterswiesen town hall houses the “Heimatstube”, the local history museum. The “Heimatstube” was inaugurated at the beginning of March 1984 on the occasion of the 1250th anniversary of Reiterswiesen.
