The Altimir Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Алтимир lednik Altimir ) is a 4.8 km long and 5.5 km wide glacier on the Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the northern slopes of the Osterrieth Range in a northerly direction to Dalchev Cove , which it reaches east of Studena Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1980. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2009 after the town of Altimir in northwestern Bulgaria .
