Old Prussian monthly
The Old Prussian Monthly was the magazine of the Association for the History of the Province of Prussia (later: East and West Prussia) and the Royal German Society of Königsberg . It was published from 1864 to 1923.

The old Prussian monthly was published with the addition of the new Prussian provincial papers 4th series by Rudolf Reicke and Ernst Wichert in 1863 in Königsberg i. Pr. Founded. They appeared from 1864. In the previous decades, the Prussian Provincial Papers ( Fatherland Archive for Science, Art, Industry and Architecture ) had appeared in Königsberg. The first four volumes appeared under the title Old Prussian Monthly to Reflect Provincial Life in Literature, Art, Science and Industry . It was published by the Königsberger Verlag Thomas & Oppermann.
With the 59th year (= 125th year of the Provinzialblätter) in 1922/23 the old Prussian monthly was discontinued. The Old Prussian Research appeared as a continuation . This change took place as part of the transformation of the history association into the historical commission for East and West Prussian regional research . The occasional double counting of the years results from the addition of the volumes of the Prussian provincial papers or their continuations.

The subject of the Old Prussian Monthly was the national culture and history of the Old Prussian provinces, in particular the rule of the Teutonic Order .
Important authors were Emil Steffenhagen , Max Toeppen , Ernst Strehlke and the historian Max Perlbach .
Old Prussian bibliography
From 1864 to 1890 and again from 1896/97 the Old Prussian Monthly contained the Old Prussian Bibliography , which was published as a supplement from 1891 to 1895.
