history

Alwis Verlag was originally founded in Freital in 2005 , but its current headquarters are in Dresden. The name is derived from Alwis, the omniscient dwarf from Nordic mythology . Authors include: Gerd Sobtzyk, Uwe Stöcker, Hubertus Rufledt, Chris Paja , Josefine Gottwald, Sandra Mahn , Alexander Stroh and Mario Sempf. Since its inception, Alwis Verlag has not only specialized in children's and youth literature, it is also represented with a variety of projects in day-care centers and schools . At these events, children learn about the creation of words, literature and book production in a playful way.
