Until March 7, 2012, the Heeder Moor was the name of a nature reserve on the edge of the town of Diepholz in the Diepholz district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 040 was 202  hectares in size. The area is located northwest of the town of Diepholz and consists mainly of moist grassland , a few cultivated arable land on the edge and guarding areas . In the west it borders on the Heeder Moor. In the center of the nature reserve there is an unused raised bog .

The area has been a nature reserve since March 13, 1975. With effect from March 8, 2012, the area was merged with the Aschener Moor nature reserve . The name of the larger nature reserve is Aschener Moor / Heeder Moor . The area between the two old nature reserves was included in the merged area. The responsible lower nature conservation authority for the old and the new nature reserve is the district of Diepholz.
