The location was at an altitude of 214 m above sea level. NN in the area of today's Katernberger Strasse corner Julius-Lucas-Weg in the south of the residential area Beek in the urban district Uellendahl-Katernberg . Neighboring locations are Falkenberg , Schörren , Dorp , Hackland , Eskesberg and Am Schaffstal .
history
The location is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 without any labeling. In 1832 the place belonged to the Dorper Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the city of Elberfeld . The place, categorized as Kotten according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had a residential house and an agricultural building at the time. At that time, 24 residents lived in the village, four of them Catholic and 20 Protestant.
The settlement area was built on until the 1970s and then went off. At the end of the 19th century the Villa Duncklenberg and the Villa Simons were built near Am Krötelnfeld .
